2. Nature and Purpose of the Platform
Eurabelt Fuels Ltd operates the world's first banking verification and compliance system designed specifically for the global petroleum, refined fuels, and energy finance industry. The Platform provides:
- Banking identifier validation across 13 jurisdictions (SWIFT/BIC, IBAN, IFSC, ABA, Sort Code, CIPS, BSB, Transit, BIK, CLABE, NCC, Zengin, ISPB)
- Gold Standard Micro-Deposit account ownership confirmation
- Financial instrument intelligence and MT message validation
- Petroleum sector fraud intelligence and country risk profiling
- Banking verification certificate issuance and public verification
The Platform is a compliance reference and due diligence tool. It does not constitute legal advice, financial advice, investment advice, or a banking service. Eurabelt Fuels Ltd is the Custodian of information compiled and maintained on this platform — it is not the originator or owner of underlying banking registry data, which originates from recognised international banking authorities and standards bodies.
3. Authorised Use
Access to the Platform is granted solely to authorised users for legitimate compliance, due diligence, and banking verification purposes within the petroleum, energy, and trade finance sectors. Authorised uses include:
- Verifying banking credentials of counterparties in petroleum and energy trade transactions
- Issuing and relying upon EF-BK verification certificates in commercial transactions
- Using the Financial Instrument Intelligence Suite to assess MT instrument legitimacy
- Using the Fraud Intelligence Centre for compliance awareness and transaction due diligence
- Conducting banking due diligence required by AML, KYC, or contractual obligations
4. Prohibited Uses
The following uses are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate access revocation, legal action, and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Submitting false, fabricated, or fraudulent banking information for verification
- Using the Platform to create the appearance of legitimacy for a fraudulent transaction
- Presenting a certificate as valid beyond its stated expiry date
- Altering, copying, forging, or misrepresenting any certificate or report generated by this Platform
- Using the Platform for money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any other criminal purpose
- Submitting information on behalf of a person without their explicit authorisation
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically harvest data from the Platform
- Using the Platform to validate instruments or accounts intended for fraudulent transactions
- Submitting third-party banking information without a direct mandate from the account holder's UBO or Director
5. Data Submission — UBO / Director / Authorised Person Responsibility
This is the single most important condition governing the use of this Platform. All persons submitting banking information must read and understand this section before proceeding.
All banking information submitted to the Platform for the purpose of verification and certificate issuance must be submitted exclusively by one of the following persons of the entity whose banking details are being submitted:
- The Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) of the company whose account is being verified
- A Director of the company
- The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company
- A person holding a duly executed written authorisation from one of the above, explicitly authorising them to submit banking details for verification purposes
By submitting banking information, the Submitting Party:
- Warrants that all information submitted is accurate, complete, and current
- Warrants that they have the authority and mandate of the account-holding entity to submit this information
- Accepts sole legal responsibility for the accuracy of the submitted information
- Acknowledges that any fraudulent submission constitutes a criminal offence under applicable law
- Consents to the information being used to generate a verification certificate and associated compliance record
- Acknowledges that Eurabelt Fuels Ltd relies upon this declaration and bears no liability for losses arising from inaccurate submissions
The declaration of the Submitting Party is recorded with every certificate issuance and forms part of the compliance audit trail maintained by the Company.
6. Third-Party Information — Not Accepted
Banking information submitted by intermediaries, brokers, agents, or any party who is not the UBO, Director, CEO, or expressly authorised signatory of the account-holding entity is not accepted and will be rejected.
Eurabelt Fuels Ltd does not accept banking details from:
- Brokers or intermediaries acting without a direct written mandate from the account holder's directors
- Agents, introducers, or facilitators who are not directly employed by or authorised by the account-holding entity
- Any person who cannot demonstrate a direct legal relationship with the entity whose banking details are being submitted
This policy exists to protect all parties in a transaction from fraud. The purpose of a verification certificate is to confirm that the actual account holder has submitted and attested to the accuracy of their own banking details. A certificate obtained through an intermediary provides no such assurance and is not valid for the purposes for which it is intended.
Any certificate issued on the basis of information subsequently found to have been submitted by an unauthorised third party will be immediately revoked and the relevant parties will be notified.
7. Verification Scope and Limitations
The Platform validates banking identifiers to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and available data. Users must understand the following limitations:
- Account ownership cannot be independently confirmed by any directory check. International banking privacy law prohibits it. Only Gold Standard Micro-Deposit verification provides independent ownership confirmation.
- Account balance and credit standing are never verified and are not within scope.
- Real-time account status (active/closed/frozen) cannot be confirmed by routing code validation alone.
- SWIFT data is cross-referenced against daily-updated external data services, but SWIFT itself maintains the authoritative real-time registry which requires SWIFT membership to access.
- MT instrument structural validation does not confirm whether an instrument was actually transmitted via SWIFT or is currently active.
The Diamond Standard designation reflects the comprehensiveness of the verification approach relative to what is legally and technically achievable outside the banking system. It is not a guarantee of any specific outcome.
8. Financial Instrument Intelligence
The Financial Instrument Intelligence Suite and Fraud Intelligence Centre are provided for compliance awareness and due diligence purposes only. Intelligence reports, fraud pattern assessments, and country risk profiles are based on documented industry cases and known institutional data.
The Company makes no warranty that the intelligence provided will detect all fraudulent instruments or prevent all losses. Users are solely responsible for their own transaction due diligence. The Company accepts no liability for losses arising from fraud not detected by or not described in the intelligence tools.
9. Certificate Issuance and Reliance
EF-BK certificates are issued by Eurabelt Fuels Ltd as formal compliance records. Each certificate represents that:
- The banking routing identifiers stated have been validated against published banking registries and cross-referenced with live data
- The information was submitted under formal declaration by the named Submitting Party
- Where Gold Standard designation applies, the account has been confirmed via live micro-deposit as active and accessible by the Submitting Party
Parties relying on a certificate in a transaction should:
- Verify the certificate using the QR code or at verification.eurabeltfuels.eu/verify.php
- Confirm the certificate has not expired and has not been revoked
- Satisfy themselves through their own due diligence that the certificate holder is who they claim to be
Certificates do not constitute a guarantee of payment, a financial instrument, or a warranty of solvency. Eurabelt Fuels Ltd accepts no liability for losses arising from the fraudulent use of a stolen or misrepresented certificate.
10. Intellectual Property
All platform architecture, software code, validation algorithms, database structures, compliance frameworks, intelligence methodologies, branding, and the Diamond Standard designation are the intellectual property of Eurabelt Fuels Ltd.
Eurabelt Fuels Ltd is the Custodian of the banking reference data compiled on this platform. The underlying banking registry data originates from internationally recognised authorities including SWIFT (ISO 9362), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), national central banks, and national payment scheme operators. The curation, structuring, cross-referencing, and validation layer applied to this data constitutes the Company's proprietary work product.
No part of the Platform, its outputs, or its data may be reproduced, distributed, or commercially exploited without the prior written consent of Eurabelt Fuels Ltd.
11. Confidentiality of System Architecture
The specific data sources, API providers, cross-reference services, and technical architecture of the Platform are confidential commercial information of Eurabelt Fuels Ltd. Users acknowledge that:
- The Company does not disclose specific data sources in public documentation
- The public-facing description of data sources is: "proprietary banking reference data maintained by Eurabelt Fuels Ltd, cross-referenced with live institutional banking registries"
- Any attempt to reverse-engineer the Platform's data architecture constitutes a breach of these terms and may constitute misappropriation of trade secrets
12. Privacy and Data Protection
The Company processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection legislation. Account numbers are stored in masked form. Personal data submitted for verification is retained for the certificate validity period plus audit retention requirements.
For full details of how personal data is processed, please refer to the Compliance Policy.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eurabelt Fuels Ltd's liability to any User or third party arising from use of the Platform shall be limited to the fees paid by that User to the Company in the twelve months preceding the claim.
The Company shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from reliance on verification results
- Losses arising from fraudulent submissions by the Submitting Party or any third party
- Losses arising from MT instrument fraud not detected by structural validation
- Losses arising from changes in banking data that occur after a certificate was issued
- Business interruption, reputational loss, or loss of contract
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eurabelt Fuels Ltd, its directors, officers, and employees from any claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms & Conditions
- Any false, fraudulent, or inaccurate information you submit to the Platform
- Your reliance on Platform outputs without conducting independent due diligence proportionate to the transaction value
- Any third-party claim arising from your use of certificates or intelligence reports
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Amendments
Eurabelt Fuels Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Platform following notification of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The current version is always available at this URL. Material changes will be notified via the portal's compliance notice system.
